In the IT channel, being in the know about the latest technology is one of a partner’s most powerful tools. Knowing the cost of the latest technology, the timetables to have it shipped, and the entire suite of available tools gives partners an edge in finding new business and keeping existing clients happy. Until recently, this process was burdensome for most partners, but with the recent introduction of TD SYNNEX’s 1Source, it has become much more accessible.

“1Source is a tool partners can use to transact their Cisco business in a much more expedited way,” said Russell Rebain, 1Source Program Manager at TD SYNNEX. “From quoting to order, to post-ordering management, 1Source gives partners the ability to be more self-sufficient and competitive in the market.” Rebain noted that while these capabilities have existed for the Tier One Cisco Partners, 1Source brings this access to Tier Two partners as well.

Rebain continued noting that previously Tier Two partners would have to go through a more roundabout way to place orders. “First, a partner would have to start by calling or emailing to get prices, place orders, and keep track of them,” Rebain said. “1Source is designed to eliminate the SLAs and gives partners instant access without delays.” According to Rebain, waiting is a thing of the past.

This process is powered by several means. First and foremost, 1Source is integrated with Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) through API technology. “This integration is what enables 1Source to provide partners with real-time data,” Rebain said. “The power of this real-time data is that partners can spend far less time on the operations side of the business and instead focus on supporting their customers and winning more business.”

When asked about the process of using 1Source, Rebain noted that partners will find it both easy and familiar to many other processes across the IT channel. “To start, the partner will need a login for the TD SYNNEX eCommerce system and be a registered Cisco Partner with a CCW account linked to their company,” Rebain said.

“Once they have the required logins, they can start using 1Source.” Rebain said that partners can start using the program to create quotes, place orders, and track them. Rebain cautioned that partners will need to make sure they have the required permissions from their admins if they want to generate a quote or place an order, but those are shared with TD SYNNEX’s general eCommerce account permissions.

Partners who are interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to reach out to 1Source directly
