In a recent webinar, TD SYNNEX and Cisco presented an in-depth look into their Managed Services Provider (MSP) Expressway for Small to Medium Sized Businesses (SMB). The program combines Cisco technology with Partner Managed Services to deliver winning experiences for customers. Outside of the transactional pieces, the TD SYNNEX team helps partners through their MSP journeys with their EDGE program. The EDGE Program is a consultative approach to enable partners to grow more strategically and profitably no matter where they are in the Cisco journey. The webinar provides a comprehensive exploration of complete lifecycle strategies, highlighting various resources and tools filled with best practices throughout the entire partner journey.

The MSP Expressway for SMB offering has made it easy for partners to experience a simple relationship with clear lines of communication and support. Too often SMBs try to operate at an enterprise level-tailoring and programing their businesses away from the needs of their employees and customers. Cisco is evolving the needs of their customers across all areas of MSP by helping people identify opportunities and integrate best practices.

“Ensuring a quality digital experience and maintaining high business continuity requires skill, staffing, and support that can be expensive and hard to find,” stated Jason Norton, Sales Business Development Manager at Cisco. “But we know that with our service providers to come in and help, that can enable a remote experience at branch locations with that modern digital experience. [This will] increase both customer and employee satisfaction, accelerate employee productivity, and help gain actual insights about users.”

Cisco’s MSP Expressway for SMBs aligns Cisco technologies with Partner Managed services, resulting in four customer experiences: Remote SMB, Hybrid SMB, Secure SMB, and Smart SMB. Additionally, there are diverse types of packages based on the architecture of the SMB (size, needs, office type, services, etc.).

Norton addresses the challenges usually associated with cashflow in leading with the MSP approach. The challenge lies in having predictable cost of goods sold and cataloged solutions that can be delivered and managed at scale without having constantly added resources. The IT landscape is changing, and a growing number of customers are shifting their IT operations to subscription models, freeing up time to focus on their core business. Cisco is tackling these challenges by providing partners with a subscription billing option with Meraki, simpler quotes to cash process, cataloging offers, and through automation and better integration into delivery platforms.

Managed services are the largest, fastest growing SMB route-to-market. The largest portion of the 19B SMB Addressable Market is Managed Services ($9.1B) and will represent an even greater share of its addressable market in the future as it grows at an 11.3 percent CAGR from 2020-2025. Cisco has continued to invest in resources for managed services by revamping Cisco’s partner program. By creating different buying programs to fit the MSP models and enhancing the product dashboards, MSPs can centrally manage all their customers in one space, such as the Meraki dashboard.

TD SYNNEX plays a crucial role in planning and strategizing the implementation of the Cisco MSP program. The TD SYNNEX “EDGE program”, which stands for engage, develop, grow, and extend, takes a consultative approach to enable partners to grow more strategically and profitably. “We want to understand our partners’ goals,” said Molarvie Rom, Product Business Manager, Cisco MSP at TD SYNNEX. “Let us just say you are newer to Cisco, and you need to build an initial Cisco Foundation. In our Cisco QuickStart program, a representative will walk you through step by step on how to become a Cisco registered partner.
