Earning Revenue for Recycling
After a customer helped with removing old and used electronic devices from an end-user’s office, the customer was left with two storage containers filled with a mix of products not eligible for trade-in. The customer reached out to TD SYNNEX to properly dispose of the equipment.
Within 30 business days, we oversaw the destruction of over 3,000 devices and provided the customer with certificates of destruction with serial numbers. The customers also earned $15,000 in revenue based on TD SYNNEX’s Services deal.
Damaged Boxed Units Saved
An end-user purchased 880 new, factory-sealed laptops from a TD SYNNEX customer to fulfill a Department of Defense order. However, the end user had overestimated what was needed, so our customer traded in 110 new devices.
In the process of being shipped from overseas to one of our warehouses, several boxes were damaged. Instead of refusing these devices, we purchased new boxes and repackaged the devices, saving our customer $72,000 in liquidation loses.
