The Snapdragon X Series platforms were designed with AI in mind. Within the heterogenous computing architecture, Snapdragon X Series platforms carry a discrete Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that is optimized for AI processing, including neural networks and large language models (LLMs).

1. Battery life varies significantly based on device, settings, usage and other factors.

2. Snapdragon X Elite was tested using a Qualcomm reference design on Windows 11 OS. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H (16 core) was tested using an Asus Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) laptop on Windows 11. Power and performance comparison reflects results based on measurements and hardware instrumentation of given devices.

3. CPU Performance is based on SPECrate2017_int_base (n-copy) compiled natively using LLVM 17.0.6 and GFortran 13.2 with flags “-O3 -flto” under WSL1. Run in Windows 11 on High Performance mode from April to October 2024. The Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-84-100) was tested using a Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16” (NP960XMB). The Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) was tested using a Dell XPS 13 (9345). The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 was tested using an ASUS Vivobook S 14 (M5406WA). The Intel Core Ultra 7 256V was tested using a Dell XPS 13 (9350). The Apple M3 was tested using an Apple MacBook Pro 14” 2023. Power and performance comparison reflects results based on measurements and hardware instrumentation of given devices.

4. Performance is based on GIMP with Stable Diffusion plugins on Windows 11 OS run in March 2024. Snapdragon X was tested using a Qualcomm reference design on Windows 11 OS. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H (16 core) was tested using an Asus Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) laptop on Windows 11.

5. Performance and device temperature measured while running UL Procyon AI Computer Vision on the NPU In run in Windows 11 in October 2024. Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) was tested using a Dell XPS 13 (9345). The Intel Core Ultra 7 256V was tested using a Dell XPS 13 (9350). On battery performance measured on “Balanced” Power Mode in Windows and “Optimized” in Dell Power 6. Manager for both devices. Power, thermal, performance comparison reflects results based on measurements and hardware instrumentation of given devices.

6. AI inferencing performance is based on UL Solutions Procyon AI on Windows 11 OS and MacOS run in May 2024. Snapdragon X Elite were tested using a Qualcomm reference design on Windows 11 OS. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H (16 core) was tested using an Asus Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) laptop on Windows 11. The Apple M3 was tested using an Apple MacBook Pro on MacOS. Maximum performance reflected by Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and the M3 represent maximum achievable results in given platforms under unconstrained PL1/PL2 settings and no thermal limitations. Power and performance comparison reflects results based on measurements and hardware instrumentation of given devices.
