This new-and-improved program is for all partners in the ecosystem, whether they build and sell services, software solutions or devices. What’s more, it’s anchored on the Microsoft Cloud in six solution areas aligned to how Microsoft goes to market.

Partner Program Membership
The first step to becoming a Microsoft partner is to join the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. There’s no cost to enroll and gain access to free marketing resources.
Microsoft Action Pack
Enhance your membership when you purchase a Microsoft Action Pack.* You gain access to resources designed to help you continue to build your practice, including product licenses for internal use, technical advisory hours and Microsoft partner branding.
*There is no prerequisite to join the Microsoft Action Pack program.
New Partner Benefits
Expand your Microsoft benefits with any of the three new packages: Partner Launch Benefits, Partner Success Core Benefits or Partner Success Expanded Benefits. These packages can be purchased individually and in addition to existing benefits to unlock significantly more Microsoft Azure credits, seats and technical support.
Solutions Partner
Demonstrate your organization’s proven capabilities to customers with easily identifiable badging. Solutions Partner designations are aligned to six Microsoft solution areas and include incremental benefits — so you can stand out from the competition and increase your customer reach.

Further differentiate your organization’s deep expertise and experience. Earning a specialization unlocks additional benefits, including increased visibility to Microsoft sellers, incremental product benefits and programs.*
*To earn a specialization, partners must first attain a Solutions Partner designation.
Solutions Partner Designation Benefits
Becoming a Solutions Partner is the first opportunity for you to set yourself apart from the competition by demonstrating your organization’s breadth of capabilities in solution areas. The top three benefits include:
- Market Differentiation: Set yourself apart by demonstrating your organization’s capabilities aligned to solution areas. Plus, receive a customer-facing badge that clearly differentiates you from the competition.
- New Cloud Technology Benefits: Receive new benefits optimized for emerging cloud technologies as well as tailored quantities of cloud services subscription. Each designation also has specific incremental benefits.
- Requirement for Investments and Incentives Program: Earning a designation can unlock programs that offer rebates and more.
How to Earn a Solutions Partner Designation
The new Solutions Partner is measured on your proficiency in six Microsoft solution areas:
- Modern Work
- Azure Infrastructure
- Azure Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Azure Digital Application Innovation
- Business Applications
- Security
Partners can earn a designation in one or all six solutions areas and includes incremental benefits. Earning a Solutions Partner designation is based on the capability score achieved by your organization across performance, skilling and customer success metrics. To attain a designation, partners will need to earn a partner capability score of at least 70 points (out of an available 100 points) across all subcategories. This means in addition to certifications, you need to ensure your sales and marketing departments are working to find and onboard new customers more regularly — enabling you to hit these thresholds and continue to earn the designation.
